One Church

One Church is a community of people in north Atlanta seeking to live out God’s dream for us “to serve the world by leading people to freedom in Christ and freedom in life.” We yearn for people to be set free from religion, moralism, sin, and hopelessness and set free to love, serve, give, and live the lives for which God created us. We are a group of people who have been transformed by the love and grace of God and yearn for others to experience the freedom that comes from being united with Jesus. We have experienced the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus and are wrecked for doing life any other way than his way.

We’ve changed our meeting schedule a bit to better communicate our values and to live out our vision. The First Sunday of the month, we meet for a One Church Community Dinner. We gather to gether to eat a meal and share life with one another. The Second Sunday, we meet to serve together. The are opportunities to live out Christ’s life in us by serving others in need. The Third Sunday, we meet for teaching, learning, and sharing our thoughts and questions with one another. The Fourth Sunday, we meet for a more extensive time of worship, reflection, and celebration. We are excited about this new expression of One Church as it seems to be a better picture of who we are and what God is doing in our community. We’re still experimenting with locations and times so we need a lot of flexibility. This Week: We are gathering at the clubhouse in Brookshire to pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at 5:00.
